Deusto University
Flyer design for Deusto University’s Semana de las Lenguas, celebrating the richness of global communication. I illustrated a tree to symbolize how all languages are connected—branches growing in different directions, but sharing the same deep human roots. The design blends organic textures and hand-drawn elements, evoking the shared ancestry of spoken word and cultural expression. It’s both visual metaphor and invitation: a reminder that every tongue, no matter how distant, stems from the same universal need to connect. A grounded image for a week of linguistic celebration.

Sara Iraburu / Buru!

I'm Sara Iraburu, a visual artist from Pamplona/Iruña (Spain), currently working between Dublin and Navarra under the name BURU!—my personal artistic identity and creative platform. My work focuses on illustration, graphic design, and visual storytelling, with a strong emphasis on emotion, connection, and narrative. I approach each project as a process of listening and observation—whether it’s a conversation, a place, or a fleeting moment—and translate those impressions into visual pieces that feel honest and human. BURU! represents my commitment to hand-crafted, thoughtful art that resonates on a deeper level, from children’s books and editorial illustration to posters, prints, and collaborative projects. Nature, human connection, and the quiet power of stories are constant sources of inspiration in my practice, and I’m passionate about creating work that invites empathy and understanding through visual language.
