Uroboros
Alternative
poster
Alternative poster design for a short film showcased at The Lighthouse Cinema, Dublin. Created entirely by hand with colored pencils, the piece explores repetition as a visual motif—echoing the cycles of confinement and silence faced by the protagonist. Set in 1950s Ireland, the film follows a free-spirited young woman wrongfully institutionalized by her abusive father. Inspired by true events and directed by Diarmuid Donohoe, the story’s haunting tension is reflected in the poster’s layered composition: delicate marks repeating, resisting, never quite breaking free.

Sara Iraburu / Buru!

I'm Sara Iraburu, a visual artist from Pamplona/Iruña (Spain), currently working between Dublin and Navarra under the name BURU!—my personal artistic identity and creative platform. My work focuses on illustration, graphic design, and visual storytelling, with a strong emphasis on emotion, connection, and narrative. I approach each project as a process of listening and observation—whether it’s a conversation, a place, or a fleeting moment—and translate those impressions into visual pieces that feel honest and human. BURU! represents my commitment to hand-crafted, thoughtful art that resonates on a deeper level, from children’s books and editorial illustration to posters, prints, and collaborative projects. Nature, human connection, and the quiet power of stories are constant sources of inspiration in my practice, and I’m passionate about creating work that invites empathy and understanding through visual language.
